Sat, 19th May - Sun, 3rd June 2012 Venue: Gallery St. Ives 11:00am - 6:00pm (closed on Wednesdays during the exhibition) Reports and exhibition by three potters whose studios and kilns were heavily damaged by the big earthquake on 11th March 2011. Shinsuke Iwami / Tomoo Hamada / Ken Matsuzaki The potters will be speaking about the damages from the earthquake and the reconstruction for the past year with showing slides. 19th : Iwami & Hamada 20th : Iwami & Matsuzaki The lecture starts at 1:30 pm on the both dates. *Part of sales from the exhibition will be donated to the fund for reconstructing the Mashiko Reference Museum established by Shoji Hamada. |
